Unanswered: How long is database up and running

    Hi,

Is there any command to found out how long time is database up and running.

I can find out for Linux/Unix with command: uptime. Is there something like that on DB2 UDB v8.1 for Linux?

    Thanks,
    Grofaty

get snapshot for dbm | grep -i 'start database manager timestamp'

will give the instance start timestamp

Question for Satyaram : If the database is explicitly activated after instance startup, does db2 consider that to be first connect?

    Yes, it does ...

The interesting thing is , following activate database command, the count of the 'Application Connects' is changed to 1 but the 'high watermark for connections' remains 0

    Cheers
