    Unanswered: is index recoverable ?

    Hi All

    can clustered,non-clustered and composite index be recovered
    from transaction logs ?

    I think there is not reason for index recovery. Its the same stupidity as importing of index.

    Thnx for replying, ya i agree with u but what if table is very large
    and it takes hours to create index

    You can't skip this indx recreation, but
    1) you can recreate the index with te option with soreted data
    2) you can import statistics from an other server using optdiag
