Hi friends.......
I need ur suggestions on what type of Database user Authentication i should implement. And why.... their benefits.....

My SQL server2000 is based on win2000 professional, with clients running win 2000. Currently i am using windows authentication mode...
Should i use SQL server autherntication mode.... What difference does it makes.....
The situation here is that the clients needed to logon to the DB server are on win2000.... and the rest are on win98. My network admin says that I should use a SQL server logins for authentication instead of windows logins.(network login). Because he restricted "the change password property" of the users on the network. And i asked him to allow the users to change their passwords at will, and when they need.
So he suggested that I should work with SQL authentication rather than windows authentication.

regards......
