    Unanswered: copy database

    i have made some changes in my old database.
    i would like to copy old data to new database. field names are changed. are there any tools to do so or should i write a program?

    Why not import? Open your new DB. Goto File->Get External Data->Import Select the database. Select the Tables, forms, reports, etc ... and then click OK.

    its not what i want. database fields names are changed in new database. some data fields are not present in new database. i would to know if there is such a program where i can thell this data field in this new datafield, etc...

    You could create an update query linking the new fields to those in the old field data as appropriate. etc. Run.

    you are write. and earlier reply is write to. i imported tables to new database, remove extra fields and rename appropriate fields.
