    Unanswered: Dropping a view

    Hello all!

I have a problem with dropping a view.
There is user One that have privileges on select on all tables in Schema1.

I want to give him a prividege to create a view that access tables mentioned above, and also priviledge to drop only views that he creates...

    How I can do that?

    Thank you in advance

    Re: Dropping a view

Look at the SQL Reference under the head Authorization ...

    In brief:

Grant SELECT on the tables involved to user One. Also CREATEIN privilege on the schema. This will allow One to create views. Since he is the owner, he can drop only those views (unless he holds any of the higher authorities like DBADM, SYSADM etc)
