    Unanswered: VB Filters in Access

    Now that I have a cumulative database with ID tags on each record, i want every single machine (4 in all) to have their own form that displays only their data (machine1 form displays machine1 data in the form etc). well, i used the filter option in the form by right clicking only to find out the filter removes itself after you close the form. I was looking at some VB code and saw the ApplyFilter feature but dont know how to use it. (I do know VB6 but I have no idea how to implement it in Access)

    Code should look something like this
    Machine1
    MachineID.Filter="Machine1"

    Machine2
    MachineID.Filter="Machine2"

    This is how I set mine up...

    In the On Load action I have this code:
    Private Sub Form_Load()
    Me.FilterOn = True
    End Sub

    And on the filter property on the form I have the appropriate statement there for the records that I want selected.

    I am not sure how to pull the machineID.

    You could also obviously put the filter property within the Form Load action such as you have written.

    Hope that answers it.
