Unanswered: Need some help in creating a databse in DB2 on linux

    Hi,
I need some help in creating a databse in DB2 on linux. I installed DB2 on RedHat linux version 8.0. It went fine. But, to create a database, I am trying to use db2cc [control center] or db2fc [first steps].
But I am getting the error as

    [db2admin@partha db2admin]$ db2cc
sh: line 1: /opt/IBMJava2-131/jre/bin/java: No such file or directory
    DB2JAVIT : RC = 127

I know that this directory does not exist and I though that DB2 installation will create this.
Can anybody help me in creating a database.
[In windows, I have done this and it is fine running excellent.]
    Thanks in advance
    Girish.

Java should have been installed for you, but you can download the Java code for IBM SDK for 32-bit xSeries (Intel compatible) here:
    https://www6.software.ibm.com/dl/lxdk/lxdk-p

After you do the install you will need to indicate that you have 1.4.1 instead of 1.3.1 with the following command:

    db2 update dbm cfg using JDK_PATH /opt/IBMJava2-14

Make sure the path above is the correct path after you install the Java code (and adjust if necessary).
