    Unhappy Unanswered: Oracle Forms 6i, Forms Runtime

    Hi !
    I've Oracle Forms 6i installed on my computer.
    When using Forms Runtime to connect to the database on a UNIX-server (oracle 8.17) , and been inactive for about 15 minutes, I always lost connection to the database and get these messages:

    FRM-40733:PL/SQL built-in DBMS_ERROR_CODE failed
    FRM-40733:PL/SQL built-in DBMS_ERROR_TEXT failed
    FRM-40735:ON-ERROR trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-0314

    I have tried to change these parameters:
    sqlnet.expire_time=30
    FORMS60_TIMEOUT
    ...............but it didn't help

    Thanks!

    Catrin

    have set the timeout value at the database level?

    The database may need to be restarted after you do this

    Your timeout issue is database related. Check the session timeout values. Sorry I am not sure exactly which values those are. Think of it as a learning adventure. :-)
