    Unanswered: naming convention on UNIX

Is there any documents or anyone have suggestion on naming?
    i.e.
    instance name.
    home dir.
    database name.
    binary placeholder.

    etc.
I am new to db2 so all suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks in Advance.

Enclosed is a sample db2 database design standards document which is self explanatory. You can also have a look at db2 manual administration guide - Implementation for more details on the specific items that you have requested.

    Hope this helps.

The attached document above was written for DB2 for OS/390 but some of it could be used for other platforms.
