    Red face Unanswered: Import Errors

    Hi
I have been trying to fix this error but i am going mad!
I had to change hosting, so I used my sql backup to import to the new forum.. the installed phpMyAdmin was importing the sql database (700 KB), says 1200 instructions excuted succefully, but I see no change and I feel no effect! I tried other backups i made, I get nothing too! (1000 kb)
I installed phpMyAdmin 2.5.4 and I tried to use it, either i get timeouts or action cancelled errors..
I got phpMyAdmin 2.5.5 and uploaded the files to "upload" folder, and I still get 10 seconds time limit exceeded!
    What is wrong?
How can I correctly import my old database? or there is no hope? :'(
    I am frustrated

Hmm, it seems like the php execution limit is causing trouble.

Try to change the $cfg['ExecTimeLimit'] in the phpMyAdmin-config-file.

If this has no effect you could try to split up your file into smaller parts (don't forget to import in the correct order).

Check the first lines of the dump file. Perhaps you have to change the database name or something like that.

    Good luck!
