Yeah, ok.. if you are running that query locally, then your system is going to be quite slow. If you are querying a remote DB, it could also be a slow system. As far as the query statement itself is concerned, it should run.

I do not think your system is freezing. I think it is in the back room screaming in agony as it tries to fulfill your query. :-) Not that your query is wrong, it is just that you are asking alot. You are saying "read every row, check if any 6 characters within that row's comment is 'schema'". The db isn't frozen, it is on it's knees trying to stand up under the stain.
using like '%%' is not going to help. Might as well just say nothing, %% will return every row (except maybe Nulls) anyway. Actually just returning every row would probably be faster, but not usefull.
