    Unanswered: oracle intelligent agent not starting

    Hi

    I am trying to configure enteprise manager and am failing to start the dbsnmp_start. I have looked for any *.q files in the /network/admin but did not find any

    Oracle version 8i
    windows xp

    The agent can have any number of problems... Easier to offer suggestions if you post some of the following:

    $ORACLE_HOME/network/log/nmiconf.log
    $ORACLE_HOME/network/log/dbsnmp.log

    Would be a good place to start...

    Hi,

    Thank You for Your suggestion.
    In my dbsnmp_start.log file the reason for above failure
    is stated as missing listener name,dbnsnmp_start in listener.ora
    But i do not know how to include the above two in listener.ora file.
