    Question Unanswered: Want report with one record detail, not all.

    I have a sub report within a report. The sub report is supposed to
    print only the detail records for a particular ClientID. However, what is happening, is when I run the report, ALL the records from the detail table
    are printed..

    SELECT [Expo Detail].Client_ID, [Expo Detail].ExpoTime, [Expo
    Detail].ExpoID, [Expo Detail].Key
    FROM [Expo Detail]
    ORDER BY [Expo Detail].ExpoTime;

    The odd thing is that it diplays properly on the form, the report is where it is messing up.

    Help! Any ideas?

    Is it not possible to write a query which filters out the single ClientID required and then build the report on that?

    If you want one record, shouldn't you use a WHERE clause?

    i.e.

    SELECT [Expo Detail].Client_ID, [Expo Detail].ExpoTime, [Expo
    Detail].ExpoID, [Expo Detail].Key
    FROM [Expo Detail]
    ORDER BY [Expo Detail].ExpoTime;
    WHERE [Expo Detail].Client_ID = 'MJABC123'
