    Unanswered: changining system user password

    Hi
    I lost the system user password and I need to change. I tried with Oradim-Edit- sid-intpwd. The command is being executed without any errors and control came to command prompt. but when i try to enter in to system user with given password, I am getting error Invalid Username and Password.

    Any other things to be changed?

    Regards
    Harikishan

    Hi ,

    If you have SYS/INTERNAL userid with you, then you can change the SYSTEM userid using ALTER USER command.

    ALTER USER SYSTEM INDENTIFIED BY <NEW_PASSWORD>;
