    Question Unanswered: database schema

    I would like to aks if there is a way to get database's schema. I don't want to use sp_help <table> for each one table....

    try this:

    select o.name,c.name,c.length,t.name from syscolumns c, sysobjects o, systypes t
    where c.id=o.id and o.type='U' and t.type=c.type and t.usertype=c.usertype
    order by o.name, c.colid

    You can use the ddlgen tool (part of the Sybase Central suite in 121.5 and later).

    Or you can use dbschema.pl (from http://www.midsomer.org). Requires perl, though.
