    Question Unanswered: Problems with Totals

Can someone please help with the following:

I have a calculation that computes the total number of days to complete an item. The name of the field is Days to Complete. I am trying to get an average number of days per product but no matter what i put in the expression it asks me to input a amount for Days to Complete when I run the report. I have tried Count, Sum and Avg. The expression I am using to calculate the Days is:
    =DateDiff("d",[Date Rcd],[Date Completed])

Shouldn't I just be able to put =count([Days to Complete]) in the control source and it add them up?

    What am I missing?

All you need to do for the DateDiff("d",[Date 1],[Date 2]) to work is set it like the attached file.

If your setup is different to the point you can't figure out how to do this let me know/send me the file/ give me more info on how yours is setup and I will work on it!

    Hope this helps!

The Date Diff works. I just need to Total all the individual totals. Can't get that to work

    ....

Create a new query and base it off of the previous one, then sum the Days to Complete field and it will give you thwhat you need.

Let me know if that works!
