    Unanswered: No error still can't update MS Access using PHP

    Hi I have the following

    <snip>

    <?php
    $connect_id = ODBC_pconnect('Regent1', '', '');

    $sql = "UPDATE customer SET email='aman@am.com' WHERE fname='oooo'";
    echo $sql;
    $update_Cust = odbc_exec($connect_id,$sql);

    ?>

    </snip>

    On execution I get no error but the update does not work either.

    Thanks in advance
    Aman

    maybe fname does not ever == oooo

    try doing something like outputing something to show how many rows were affected. I know mysql has this, but IDK about MS Access!

    Nahh !!!

    M$ Access is crapy.
    I printed out the return value (it should be undefined if not success) but it is alright as well - still it won't update.

    I am going to pursue the client to switch to MySQL, and not depend on M$. Hope he understands!

    Totally makes sense to me to switch over...
