Unanswered: How to schedule jobs using a stored procedure?
I wanted to know how jobs can be scheduled in DB2 using the DB2 stored procedures. DB2 has GUIs to do that - But I want to them do them through SQL stored procedure. What I want to do is to write a stored procedure which takes two parameters - job name and time interval and runs the specified job according the specified time interval. For example, we want to run certain stored procedures once in 24 days. In Oracle, we have a package called DBMS_JOB which helps us do that. I have searched on the Internet and DB2 reference PDFs that I have and couldn't find anything useful. Could you please give me any pointers about how to solve this problem?
