Question Unanswered: Is it stupid to buy a access2k book for use with 97?

I am temted to buy a access 2000 book for work but the company I work for still use 97. Would it be foolish to ga ahead and buy the book and USE it at work or is there no point?

I would say Yes only because of the new features and enhancements that are not backwards compatible with the older version ... I would say no for the fact that if this is your only resource for learning VBA it is better than nothing ...

    Nevermind the book

I would say if all possible to upgrade your version of access. Access 2003 is now out and is 3 versions newer than your current version. If you decide to at least upgrade to version 2000, there are some Mastering Access books available that are really good resources. However, none of the available books are as good as www.dbforums.com
