    Unanswered: Dbheap

Does anyone know what happens when the database runs out of dbheap? Do we need to recycle?

Yes, you'll need to recycle, it will get to a point nothing will run. Been through it a bunch of times. Most of the fixes for the dbheap memory leak are supposed to be in fp10, it seemed to fix most of ours. We also recyle once a month, we have this problem on about 1/3 of our systems, Not sure why some are affected while others are not, there all used for the same thing SAP and about the same size.

If you keep running into this problem, you'll need to increase the db2heap until you get to a point that you can live with it between recyles, our is set to 40000.

How does one monitor it? The system monitor guide says it's the Maximum Database Heap allocated element (db_heap_top) under logical heading of dbase.

To me that means that it should be in the database snapshot for the involved node. However, I do not see that element in the database snapshot.
