Unanswered: Big-Time Help with Data Access Page needed!
Call me stupid, if you like. I'M DESPERATE FOR QUICK HELP!! PLEASE!
Created a data access page in Access 2002.
I'm doing lots of aggregations of raw data stored in an table, but could not use the standard method of dragging fields or using a Pivot Table because of the unusual layout required:
Category1 Count of Responses
Category 2 Count of Responses
Question 2 Text
Category A Category B Category C
Item 1 count count count
Item 2 count count count
Item 3 count count count
Now, if this were a static page, no big deal, but the counts are updated by two dropdown fields used to filter the results. When an option is selected and the SUBMIT button pressed, all queries are processed using the value in the combo boxes. Al fields are then updated.
Thus, I'm building the counts using SQL commands in VBScript. A bunch! There are over 200 responses that have to be calculated.
I've got this working, thank you!
BUT THE PROBLEM:
HOW DO I DYNAMICALLY CREATE % OF TOTAL RESULTS?
Category1 Count of Responses % of Total
Category 2 Count of Responses % of Total
The total is never seen, but I need to show each response count's portion of the total as a percentage.
HOW DO I DO THIS? I can't seem to use functions in vbscript. How can I walk through the page and build the percentage functions, putting them into their respective fields?
