    Unanswered: Subforms: how to leave out certain features?

    Hi,

    I have created a form with information about certain vendors. I want to make it possible to view certain extra information about a vendor (viewed as a form). I tried to do this by using a subform but this presented me with 2 problems:

    1. I don't want to see the little arrows at the bottom which indicate the next record, new record, etc.
    2. I don't want people to have the possibility to add a new record. I only want them to see it.

    I hope someone will help me.

    Those are simple settings you can find in the properties of your form.

    Or dunk this into your on on open event of the form
    Me.RecordSelectors = False ' No bar at the lefthand side of the form
    Me.NavigationButtons = False 'no buttons at the bottom
    Me.AllowAdditions = False ' No adding
    Me.AllowDeletions = False ' No deleting
    me.AllowEdits = False ' No editting

    Regards

    Access97

    I tried what you said but it doesnt work on the subform. Has that got something to do with the fact that I have access97?

    Re: Access97

    I have done this successfully on Access97.
    Are you sure that you are altering the properties on the subform and not the actual form?

    Yeah what he said, do them in the on open of the subform. If that dont work try the on load or on current events

    If all else failes simply find the corresponding properties of the form yourself and set them to false manually.....
