    Talking Unanswered: Poblem with DAS Instance

    Hi All,

    I am working on db2 v8.1 with FP4 for AIX.

    My problem is I am unable open db2 clp from db2 administrator server(DAS) user.

    When I logged in with das user and give the command
    $ db2
    ksh: db2: not found.

    above error pops up ("ksh: db2: not found")

    but I am able to start and stop the das instance successfully.

    For other instances it is working. i.e it is problem with das instance only.

    I appreciate your Quick response.

    Regards,
    Pushp

    Re: Poblem with DAS Instance

    Pushp,

    in DB2 V8, the DAS isn't an instance anymore. It's just a DB2 process. They have changed the commands to create and drop the das accordingly (from dasicrt to dascrt and from dasidrop to dasdrop).

    Red face

    RKrick,

    Thanks for the Quick reply.

    I am unable to view/update the admin configuration file. as it is throwing the same error db2 not found.

    the command which I am giving is

    $ db2 "get admin cfg"
    ksh: db2: not found.

    Please let me know how to proceed.

    Regards,
    Pushp

    Just log in as instance owner (db2inst1 or whatever you defined) and then issue your command
    db2 "get admin cfg".
