Wink Unanswered: Replication ASE among ASA

    Hi everybody,
We have a main ASE server, and our remote clients uses ASA, beacuse they don't have continuous line... (That's all.)
We would like replicate the new datas from the ASE to ASA, if there is line (The clients live)
What need we set on ASE and on ASA?
And. If I start the ASA in network mode, I can't connect from the application.(?)
How need I use the connect string if I would like the ASA in network mode?
    -erie-

ps: and if somebody can advise a new link about these, i would be happy ;-)

    1) use SQLRemote for asynchronous replication
    2) Did you start zour DB using dbsrv8 ? Check this doc.

SQL Remote is the product that comes free with the ASE package can be used to replicate between ASE(consolidated) and ASA(remote).

SQL remote is message based replication and does not rely on continous network availability between ASE and your ASA.

There is a neat example in the Replication and Sync Guide for ASA available online on how to set it up.

    Question

OK, I set the remote service...
It started, but at the log it says this:

    E. 01/15 10:38:35. SQL statement failed: (-205) Integrated logins are not permitted
    E. 01/15 10:38:35. Error connecting to database

If I set the login some other user it doesn't work... (?)

And if I sterted the Network server, how can I connect from the application?! The IP doesnt't work...
