    Unanswered: temporary table creation problem

    Hi.

Is it possible to issue a create global temporary table or a create global temporary table on DB2 V6.1.0 for AIX or W2K.

I've tried to create it without success from command center, command line and a C stored proc.
    Any idea?

No problem, just now I tested as following:
db2 create system temporary tablespace tempts managed by system using ('c:\tmp')
    it works!

A System Temporary Tablespace is not the same as a Global Temporary Table.

    ddlldd2000,

Are you shure you are able to create global temporary table with either create or declare in V6.1?

ddlldd2000 did not say he created a global temporary table in any DB2 version. He said he created a system temporary tablespace, which is an entirely different thing than a global temporary table.
