Unanswered: Clone Database from Linux to XP?

This is my first post here, so hello all.

I do not understand DB2 at all, I support a web content management system so please explain any answers rigorously.

    I have 2 questions:

    1. How can I clone a db from a client's linux box and restore it on my XP box?

    2. Our app stores XML structures in CLOB fields as a primitive type of content management via DB2. However when I run a select on the 'XML_CONTENT' column in command center all I get is blank columns. What does this mean, the data is not stored in DB2? or do I need to make particular provisions to select the data from a CLOB field?

    regards

    Rich

You cannot restore a database backed up on Linux onto Windows. See the "Useful DB2 Stuff" thread for information on migrating databases from one platform to another. Or see the DB2 manuals (link in same thread).

Sorry, can't answer your other question.

thanks for the help. I've just done a straight export of the tables and imported to an AIX box we have, it seems a lot easier than that cloning process in the FAQ.
