Question Unanswered: Exporting tables in ASCII format

I would like to know why exporting tables to ASCII format, Access '97 exports numbers left justified !? Is it normal or there can be a solution to right justify ?
    Thanks in advance

ASCII doesn't support text display formating. There are the lower codes which contain tab, carriage return, line feed, etc., but if they were put into place to format your text, it would need to be included in the field strings etc. You don't want these codes joined to your text. Text fields can be stripped of these unseen codes (since they are strings) but number fields can not contain them.

To right justify a number, it should be sent as a string, so you can use the function STR or use Format
