    Smile Unanswered: Convertion General Field To BMP (FOXPRO)

    Please guide me for converting General Field containing scanned Signatures to BMP File. The database is foxpro for windows.

    Well the bad news, is that it isn't very easy to get them out once they're in there.
    The good news is there are a few folks that have done it. Personally, I haven't.

    Look for the "Copy General" utility.

    If these don't help, you can always open the general field with <Ctrl><Home>, copy it to the clipboard using Edit->Copy or <Ctrl><C>, and paste each one to an image editor, or Word, or anything that can show bitmaps, then save it to a file from there.

    Sir, Thanks for your reply . Ihave tried the procedure but was unable to make bmp file as the File format of the FTP File is not the same. AS per the article it is assumed 599 bytes are fixed for header, but in my FPT File its unable to find the header size. kindly suggest me what to do.

    I couldn't get it to work either, even using different offsets than 599.
    It could be that it isn't a bitmap.

    Have you tried the cut/paste method?
    Do you have Word or Excel or some other app that could be used to paste the general field into using automation?
