Unanswered: TXT to MDB [Access 2.0] conversion

    Hi,

I have a BIG file that i'm not sure what it is, but i'm supposed to convert it to an Access 2 database. In notepad the file "DSNTBL.DB" looks kind of like this:

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      T h;G d AGAG l4 4' ?"@)@DSNTBL.DB DSNNbr DTNNbr ascii D 95000001101022003 110000101 00195000002401022003 110000101 00295000003701022003 110000101 00395000004001022003 110000101 00495000005301022003 210000201 00195000006601022003 210000201 00295000007901022003 210000201 00395000008201032003 110000501 00195000009501032003 110000501 00295000010501062003 210000703 03295000011801072003 110001101 00195000012101082003 210000601 00195000013401092003 110000301 00195000014701092003 110000301 00295000015001092003 110000301 00395000016301092003 110000301 00495000017601092003 110001401 00195000018901092003 110001401

I skipped a bunch of data and at the end of the file it looks like:

    00596628152312312003 210001001 00696628153612312003 210001001 00796628154912312003 210001001 00896628155212312003 210001001 00996628156512312003 210001001 01096628157812312003 210001001 01196628158112312003 210001001 01296628159412312003 210001001 01396628160412312003 210001101 00196628161712312003 110001201 00196628162012312003 110001201 00296628163312312003 110001201 003 97890132512302003 110000403 00897890133812302003 110000403 00997890134112312003 110000503 00797890135412312003 110000503 00897890136712312003 110000503 00997890137012312003 110000503 01097890138312312003 110000503 01197890139612312003 110000503 01297890140612312003 110000503 01397890141912312003 110000503 01497890142212312003 110000503 01597890143512312003 110000503 01697890144812312003 110000503 01797890145112312003 110000503 01897890146412312003 110000503 01997890147712312003 110000503 02097890148012312003 110000503 02197890149312312003 110000503 02297890150312312003 110000503 02397890151612312003 110000503 02497890152912312003 110001303 00397905000001022003 210001503 00797905001301022003 210001503 00897905002601022003 210001503 00997905003901022003 210001503 01097905004201022003 210001503 01197905005501022003 210001503 01297905006801022003 210001503 01397905007101022003 210001503 01497905008401022003 210001503 01597905009701022003 210001503 01697905010701022003 210001503 01797905011001022003 210001503 01897905012301022003 210001503 01997905013601022003 210001503 02097905014901022003 210001503 02197905015201022003 210001503 02297905016501022003 210001503 02397905017801022003 210001503 02497905018101022003 210001503 02597905019401022003 210001603 001

Does anyone know what format this is...txt I guess? It's readable text format separated by spaces and other characters. I need to convert it to Access 2.0.... anyone have any database recognition tools in mind and/or know what can convert from txt to mdb?

    Thanks,
    Persius

Cool Paradox Install in Win2k/XP issue

I heard Paradox 7 will do the conversion I am looking to do, but I am running win2k. Running the setup in Compatibility mode [Win2k cd under Support folder appcompat.exe] allowed me to install Paradox 7 in Win2k though.

To run a program in Compatibility mode:

Confirm that at least Service Pack 2 for Win2k is installed, go to your start menu and select "Run".

In the window that appears type (or copy to) the following line:
    regsvr32 %systemroot%\apppatch\slayerui.dll

Create a shortcut to the program...select properties for shortcut and you'll figure out the rest.

    OR

    run AppCompat.exe as mentioned above.

I still need a better way to convert the data mentioned in this post...so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thnx a bunch!
