    Unhappy Unanswered: Nothing like 'DESC'

    hi

    Like Oracle SQL, does SQL server has a 'desc' command which describes the tables of a database?


    It would be very helpful instead of using Enterprise Manager
    Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead.
    Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow.
    Do not walk beside me, either.
    Just leave me alone.

    SELECT * FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES

    Or .COLUMNS...

    Look up the reference in BOL
