    Unanswered: linux

    havent workd with linux especially sed in a long time. wondering if someone could help me with the following:

    want to replace first occurance of * followed by a blank space in a servlet with

    @web.servletname="xxx" display-name="xxx" @web.servlet-mapping url-pattern="/xxx.xxx/*"

    code in servlet looks likes follows:

    /**
    * Description of the class
    * @web.servletname="xxx" display-name="xxx" @web.servlet-mapping url-pattern="/xxx.xxx/*"

    *@author
    *@created jan 21,2003
    */

    After sed is executed, code should look as follows:

    /**
    * Description of the class
    *
    *@author
    *@created jan 21,2003
    */

    Thank u
