I wasn't sure if I should post this in the MySQL forum or here...
This is my situation: a client already has a rather simple access db containing info on their members. Just a few tables with some one to many relationships.
They want to have users insert data via a web interface. And here our only choice is a MySql db. So I want to create an exact copy of the Access database in MySQL.
We want to occasionally (daily?) import the data from the MySQL db on the server to the local Access db and clear out the server db. This needs to be a "click of a button" or at any rate, a rather simple process for the secretary.
And we have to keep the access db around because there is a lot of code associated with in that is used locally.
