Smile Unanswered: html links in access for dreamweaver use

I have an access database which I am using as a quick way to post content onto my website.

I can display pictures text etc but want to get links to work.

I have entered them as text in the access database as with the link for the picture but I cannot then get dreamweaver to write the code that will make this into a valid link when I then view the asp page.

Im sure I am missing something pretty basic but any help would be apprciated.

    Many thanks is advance

When you enter the link into the database, you must enter it like <a href="http://mylink">mylink</a>. Otherwise the display-page cannot know it's a link.

I think you can add as much code as you want.

Shouldn't be a problem, just try and see.

    <a href="http://mylink">mylink</a>.
And don't forget target=... to open a new browser window if you don't want people leaving your site:

    <a href="http://mylink" target="new">mylink</a>

And from a field in a recordset:

    <a href="<%= TheFieldContainingTheURL %>" target="new"><%= TheFieldContainingTheURL %></a>
