Unanswered: referential integrity in IQ 12.4?

    Hello!

Is there some control about referential integrity in Sybase Iq 12.4?. I have an insert operation into a table with a foreing key. Should I control the existence of this foreing key in another table, or Sybase can control this foreing key?. Thanks

    Fernando

This states that IQ supports the references clause in the CREATE TABLE statement but it is only used for optimizing purposes. You'll have to enforce it yourself.

Also from reading the docs, FK constraints are enforced in IQ12.5.
    Thanks,

and you can disable it at load time using SET DISABLE_RI_CHECK to bypass referential integrity.
