    Unhappy Unanswered: Conditional Group Header

I have a report where I have a group header that I'll call "Category".
In the details section, I have several subreports that display data for the corresponding categories.

Currently, all the categories are displayed regardless of whether or not there is detail information in the subreport. I am drawing a blank on a way that I can conditionally hide the header when a category has no corresponding data.

    HELP!!!

    TIA

--I have tried several basic IF THEN ELSE type statements, but none seem to do the trick for me.

I'm having the same problem. Have you had any luck with this?

    Cool No Word Yet

Haven't gotten a fix on this yet. If I do I'll keep you posted.

Maybe you could try checking the record count on the subreport and hide the header if the subreport is empty.

    Re: Conditional Group Header

You probably will need to get a record count on a clone of the subreports' recordsets while you're in the GroupHeader.Format Event. If that count is 0 then set the Visible prop to false.

I don't think reports 'look ahead' to give you peeks at subreport properties or data until that section actually begins printing.
