    Question Unanswered: SQL SERVER connection thro IP

    Can anybody explain me how to connect sqlserver 2K thro Internet using the IP addess. I want the code for vb/net.

    There where you usually write a server's name enter its IP address

    SqlConnection.ConnectionString Property
    keyword: Data Source-or-Server-or-Address-or-Addr-or-Network Address

    The name or network address of the instance of SQL Server to which to connect.
    Public Sub CreateSqlConnection()
    Dim myConnection As New SqlConnection()
    myConnection.ConnectionString = "Persist Security Info=False;Integrated Security=SSPI;database=northwind;server=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx;Connect Timeout=30"
    myConnection.Open()
    End Sub 'CreateSqlConnection

    Thanks.. I already tried this. But I want to know in a online SQLserver, through a vb application whether we can upload files to image field directly?
