Unanswered: Continuous forms with an image determined by a field...

    Hi all.

I have a couple of document types ( doc, email, fax, ... ) for different types of correspondence.

I want a continuous form that displays an image ( I've made some little icons ) that matches the document type.

I've tried putting code in the OnCurrent() event that updates the 'path' property of an image, but that only seems to trigger when the focus enters a record, and then when it runs, it changes ALL the images instead of just this record's image.

Is what I'm trying to do possible?

    Any tips?

    Thanks!

    Dan

Not possible, it 'only works' for the active record and all others show the same. Sorry....

If your using A2K or newer you may be able to do something with "conditional formatting" but i havent used it myself yet....

    Regards

    Dan,

What you are trying to do is possible but not in the way you try it.

You should enter an extra field in your table and give it as datatype OLE-object.
You can then insert any images in this field (use Insert Object command and insert any file that is a picture)

Afterwards, when you create a form on this table, use a Bound Object Frame for your new field.

The form will then display the image you inserted in that field.
