    Unanswered: Weird error, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP

    I have the following code for a tick-box that should give the time and date automatically when clicked. (time and date in different textbox). The problem is that it works fine on my computer but my colleagues who also use it at the same time, can't use this function because when they do, the vb code comes up saying something is wrong with it.

    The code is:

    Private sub Afgemeld_click()
    If Afgemeld Then
    Afgemeld_date = Date
    Afgemeld_time = Time()
    Else
    Afgemeld_date = Null
    Afgemeld_time = Null
    End If
    End sub

    Heya.

    if your function is used ouside of the module you have to declare it as "Public":

    Public sub ...
    ...
    End sub

    I see that it's declared "Private".

    Can you post the exact text of error message that your co-workers get?

    "something is wrong with it" doesn't give a clue.

    Then try to check the Preferences by that user.

    As you say it functions by you and by someuser not, then check the preferences by you and that by the user (Just Compare the two preferences)

    Well, it's one db and everyone goes there by clicking on a shortcut. Should I check the shortcut properties?

    THAT doesn't work either. I think I give up.. people will just have to insert date and time themselves.

    Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

    To check for differences in which libraries are avaiable:

    Compare one computer where it works, with one that has the problem. Open VB Editor (Alt+F11) from Access in both computers. Then in the tools menu, choose References. See which entries are enabled on the computer where it works.

    Hope this helps.
