DATABASE ANALYST I (NEW): This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining standard reports and ad hoc requests for various Committees and other departments. Develops multi-functional databases to support various needs of the end user such as auditing, tracking, letter generation and reporting of information. Troubleshoots data/system issues as requested. Trains users on the proper use of the system or added functionality resulting from the automation effort above. Completes written documentation of any process automation or system modification. The documentation will include operational, end user, and programming flows or instructions as necessary. Provides support and problem solving for special projects as assigned. Uses knowledge of data warehouses, relational databases and report-writing software to streamline current standard reporting process. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive experience with Data Warehouses and Operational Data Stores; relational databases (MS-Access, SQL Server, Oracle); MS-Excel and Report Writing software/tools (Crystal Reports, Brio). Knowledge of VB/VBA Script, HTML, JavaScript and Windows NT/2000/XP is helpful.

PHARMACY DATABASE ANALYST: This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining standard reports and ad hoc requests for various Committees and other departments pertaining to pharmacy data from the contracted pharmacy benefit management vendor, Medicaid, and Amisys. Knowledge of drug claims is preferred, but not required. The selected individual will also identify manual processes that can be automated, then develop and implement the methodology to accomplish the automation. Responsibilities will also include implementing routine auditing of paid drug claims to detect potential noncompliance issues with various contracts pertaining to drug reimbursement. A strong emphasis will be expected to analyze the data and to offer recommendations based on the findings. This position will include actively working with other departments to identify gaps in drug data analysis and implementing programs and/or reports to add value to other departments. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
