    Unanswered: tnsnames.ora

    Hi,
    when i am trying to connect to a database using TOAD i get this message

    ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name.

    under which directory should i go and update the TNSNames.ora file
    to avoid getting this error

    This is what i get in the details of the Error.

    I have updated it in that folder.
    Still the same problem

    post the contents of your tnsnames relating to the service you are trying to connect to.

    Also ensure that you have nt authentication turned off in your SQLNET.ORA

    SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NONE)
