    Question Unanswered: transference of data between archives excel

    I have that to transfer given between spread sheets excel catching some data of cells you specify of a spread sheet and when to save I have that to bring up to date these data in cells already defined in other spread sheets.
    I am thankful if somebody will be able to help me

    Welcome to the board!

    A few questions for you:

    Are you looking for a formula approach or VBA or query?

    How many worksheets are in each workbook?

    Will the cells remain in the same location for data retrieval? Or will it change (expanding list?

    thank you;

    I have some cells in a spread sheet that will bring up to date other spread sheets, but nor always the position will go to be the same one in the other spread sheets. I have one worksheets for each workbook. And I look to a faster solution being able to be a VBA or a queryor or a formula approach.

    Without seeing how your data is arranged, I would suggest that if possible all the spreadsheets should be in the same workbook. It will make referencing and updating much easier.

    Can you post a sample (zipped)?
