    Unanswered: installing a new instance correctly

    Hi,
    Im installing a new oracle instance with Database Configuration Assistant, but Id like to know if I installed correctly.
    My O.S. is windows 2003 server with 1 Gb Ram and Oracle 9.0.1 version.
    May be max 15 user connecting simultaneity

    I installed Oracle with this parameters:
    Tamplate Name= DataWarehouse
    Dedicated Server Mode

    Memory Custom:
    Shared pool=33554432 bytes
    Buffer cache=32mbytes
    Java pool=33554432 mytes
    TOTAL=96Mbytes

    Memory Typical:
    Max n. of users=20
    Percentage of physical memory(511mb) for oracle=70 (my machine has 1gb ram, must I increase this value here or is not important??)
    Shared pool=94mb
    Shared pool=183mb
    Java pool=50mb
    Larged pool=10mb
    PGA=20mb
    TOTAL=357
    Sort area size=1048576 bytes
    In the init.ora SGA_MAX_SIZE=139232672
    I CHOOSE TYPICAL INSTALL

    How can I know if my database is installed correctly and which parameter Id change?

    Thanks
    Raf

    that is like saying:
    How can I tell that I bought the right house?

    Does the database run?
    Run statspack while it is running and go from there.
    If you find you have allocated too much memory in certain areas then change accordingly.
