Unanswered: Help! How to change Number of locks

    Hi,

The command sp_configure "number of locks" would display the current config value and the current run value i.e. number of locks currently set to max.

sp_configure "number of locks",<num of locks> (requires a sa permission) will set it to a new value. It is a dynamic parameter and hence can be effected without a shutdown.

Number of locks are defined at a server level and to the best of my understanding are not specific to any database. It is configured server wide and apply as a cumulative to all databases.
