Unanswered: Can a Query Caption be created?

I have created a switchboard menu that includes buttons that open Crosstab queries to summarise values included in my master data table.

Is there a way of creating a caption to replace the query name in the database window bar? - The option isn't in the properties window and wondered if it could be coded.

I could create a form and set it that way but seems pointless when the query summary shows the data in an appropriate format.

    Thanks

Some of my crosstab queries will contain a varying number of column headings depending on which criteria are met. Therefore setting up a report isn’t the best option. This increases my need for a solution to creating a sensible query caption if possible.

Anyone know how I can do it?

The crosstab query properties only offer a description - Which isn't used to label the query in Datasheet View.

Forms and Reports offer the Caption property which I think you mean - Queries don't have it so I can't use this method (As it's the Query Datasheet view I open via the button)

sorry, I missed "croostab" in your post, seems no way to change the caption
