    Unanswered: Multi-Domain Replication

    Hi All:

    Within Multiple SQL2K Standard installs...

Got trouble replicating (Push OR Pull) between 2 Domains. Subscriber cannot access the Snapshot - unable to login using EITHER Win or SQl/sa

One interesting issue - to register Servers in E-Manager, we need to use FULL Domain name > ie. ServerName.Domain.com nothing else will do.

If I can register a new server with JUST Name, then I can get it to work.

We need to apply this across a VPN to overseas office(s) next.

    Thanks for your Help

Snapshot is actually a group of table files and stored in the folder you have specified when setting it up. Did you make the folder shared?

    Hi Joe:

YES - I did share the folder I was using for the Snapshot.

The Snapshot Job works. When I try to start the Subscription synchronize, the Login to the Distributor (which is the same as the Publisher) fails.
