    Question Unanswered: Scheduling a PL/SQL Application

    Dear All,

    I need to schedule a PL/SQL application in Oracle [on UNIX HP]. The application contains several packages and should automatically run at a specified time on daily basis.

    Can anyone provide me a clue on this?

    Thanx in advance
    Omer

    The alternative is to use the cron facility in Unix and execute:

    Code:
    $ sqlplus my_sql.sql
    In your *.sql file, excute your package/procedure as follows:

    Code:
    exec my_pkg.proc
