Unanswered: execute a vb routine without vb events

How can I execute a vb routine without using the usual events (e.g. click)?

I need some VB code to run when a PLC receives data from a piece of machinery.

Some background info: the PLC and PC are connected via RS-Linx.

Re: execute a vb routine without vb events

Does your machinery send a message to your VB application? Or to your windows operating system?

If it send to your VB application you can raise your own events using RaiseEvent command.

If it send to windows you will have to make some API calls to listen to the event and then raise it in your application.
