    Unanswered: Limiting Session Count

    Hi,
Is there a way to limit no. of sessions opened by a database User to a specific value. Due to Connection Pooling too many connections are opened and not getting closed properly because of which max number of processes for Oracle reach and no more new connections are permitted.
    Suggestions?

you can fix this problem by setting resource_limit = true in the initORA-file or sp_file
and assigning a profile with i.e. logon_time, &/or max idle_time to the roles or users ...
