Unanswered: Looking for the best monitoring product

    Dear dba's,

I'm looking for a product that will display the 'hot spots' in my database.

I'm especially interested in the following information

-> which tables/accessed are accessed the most
-> which queries are executed the most
-> on which object do I have to wait for locks (sp_object_stats)

Most products that I've seen are good at raising an alarm but not good at reporting.

Does someone of you use a product that can deliver this information ?

    hoping to share info,
    best regards,

    Toon Eysakkers

Since ASE 12.5.1, you can easily use the new MON tables to obtain this type of information

    Hi,

the Diagnostic monitor from whitesands looks real good. But I'm first gonna try the output from the monitor tables .

    Thanks for your help/time,
    Best regards,

Else, you have DB-XRay for Sybase (internally using the same monitor tables)
