Re: Retrieve user or super user passwd

I don't think so. Surely the password are stored as a hush or something with no way back. If you find a way... well email it, but should be a sercurity bug.

Re: Retrieve user or super user passwd

    Hi..
You can view user names and passwords in encrypted form in pg_pwd file.
Does anyone know what encryption algo postgreSql uses.
If only super user has access to passwords why should it be a security bug.In fact in large organizations you may need it.
    Thanks..

    performance comparision

    Hi All,

Can anyone give performance comparision benchmark results of postgreSQL with oracle.
All the sites where I find the comparison has following message:
Oracle results omitted due to the OTN Developer License Agreement restrictions on benchmarking.
    Thanks

Thumbs up The benchmark is here

Here an old slide comparing Oracle, Postgresql and Mysql. It's a full benchmark, but with old version of those DBMS.
